The Commodore cross cable

Description

The Commodore cross cable gives a parallel connection between two Commodore machines.

Hardware requirements

You need the following hardware to make use of this cable:

  • Two Commodore 64, 128 or VIC20 machines

Software support

The following Commodore softwares support this cable:

  • Certain versions of Turbo Assembler and Macro Assembler

Usage

Switch both Commodore machines off. Connect the user port plugs onto the user ports of both Commodore machines, being very careful not to do it upside down. Switch both Commodore machines back on.

Make sure to put your equipment far away from monitors, TV sets and other devices with strong emission, otherwise cables may pick up interference and you may experience data loss or corruption.
