The Commodore cross cable

Construction

You need the following parts to build this cable:

  • Two solderable user port plugs
  • A shielded 10-wire or unshielded 11-wire cable of, preferably at most, 2 meters

Solder both ends of the cable onto the user port plugs. You should have the following connections:

 C, PB0  C, PB0
 D, PB1  D, PB1
 E, PB2  E, PB2
 F, PB3  F, PB3
 H, PB4  H, PB4
 J, PB5  J, PB5
 K, PB6  K, PB6
 L, PB7  L, PB7
 8, PC2  B, FLAG2
 B, FLAG2  8, PC2
 A, GND  A, GND

Note that pins 8 (PC2) and B (FLAG2) are swapped at either end.
