The PC64 cable

Construction

You need the following parts to build this cable:

  • One solderable user port plug
  • One solderable 25-pin male plug (PC parallel plug)
  • A shielded 10-wire or unshielded 11-wire cable of, preferably at most, 2 meters

Step 1. Solder one end of the cable onto the user port plug.

Step 2. Solder the other end of the cable onto the parallel plug. You should have the following connections:

User port plug Parallel plug
 A, GND  18-25, GND
 B, FLAG2   9, Data 7
 C, PB0  15, Error
 D, PB1  13, SelectIn
 E, PB2  12, PaperEnd
 F, PB3  10, Ack
 H, PB4   2, Data 0
 J, PB5   3, Data 1
 K, PB6   4, Data 2
 L, PB7   5, Data 3
 M, PA2  11, Busy
